TROON COMMUNITY COUNCIL
CIVIC AWARD – GUIDELINES
1 The Award shall be made annually for meritorious services for the benefit of
the Community of Troon, in any field of endeavour or activity
2 To be eligible for the Award, the Nominee must be a Resident in the Troon
Ward of South Ayrshire
3 Any Adult or established Organisation may submit a Nomination in writing,
with reasons for the Nomination
4 Each Nomination must have signatures from the Proposer and Seconder, and
the together with their names and addresses, and the Proposer and Seconder
must also be residents of the Troon Ward of South Ayrshire, excluding
members of Troon Community Council. Scanned and emailed Nominations,
including scanned signatures of the Proposer and Seconder, may be
accepted by Troon Community Council, at its discretion, but original
Nominations in writing, including indelible ink signatures are guaranteed to be
considered.
5. Applications should be no longer than 250 words
6. No person can propose or second more than one application
7 In the event of no Nominations being received, members of Troon Community
Council will be allowed to make Nominations
8 Troon Community Council members cannot be nominated for the Award while
serving on the Community Council
9 The Recipient of the Award will be decided by the members of Troon
Community Council
10 Troon Community Council may, at its discretion, withhold the Award in any
one year
11 The decision of Troon Community Council will be final

As this would be the last time the prize ceremony would take place in the present Troon Library, they were joined by Mums, Dads, Grandparents & carers for a
special photograph, by Alistair Milton of TCC, who even persuaded Annette to join in the picture!

TCC opened up the competition to all age groups. This move has been very well received and led to lots of family fun in the town. A big thank you on behalf of Troon Community
Council to everyone who entered the competition. Well done to the winners, picked at random from the correct entries. Each winner receives a
£10 voucher from TCC which can be spent in any of the shops/businesses who took part. Our grateful thanks as always, to the shopkeepers of Troon who continue to support TCC in this competition.

Carers Week Event – 12th June

Hi Everyone

Come and join us at our Carers Week event, hosted by Thriving Communities, on Wednesday 12th June at the Riverside Sports Arena. This is open to all staff, young carers, care experienced young people, and families.There will be almost 40 stalls from a variety of organisations and services, activities, live music, food and drink. Drop in and join the fun between 10am and 2pm.
