The event is open to all drivers including learners or those thinking about learning.
The guest speakers include:
Michael McDonnell, Director of Road Safety Scotland
Lorraine Napier, Chief Inspector, Road Policing, Police Scotland
Allan Mauchline, Regional Co-ordinator, RoSPA
Stuart Miller, Driver Trainer, French Haulage
Josh Wood, Cycling Scotland Tutor
Lesley Murdoch, Lochlan’s Legacy
To encourage people to attend the presentations, you will receive a ticket for a free prize draw after each one. Prizes include Knockhill tickets, Go Karting vouchers, vehicle servicing/MOT donated by Knockhill Race Circuit, The Garage (Kilmarnock) and Andrew Dodds Autocare.
There will also be indoor and outdoor activities including online Highway Code mock tests, Brake Reaction Tester, Beer Goggles, top of the range electric vehicles on display, Scottish Fire & Rescue cutting gear, etc.
The Safety Camera Partnership, RoSPA and IAM Road Smart will be there to provide information.
The day concludes with a Question Time session chaired by Cllr McMahon. Panel members – Michael McDonnell, Allan Mauchline, Lorraine Napier, Jane Corrie (Head of ARA) and hopefully a representative from Scottish Fire & Rescue.
Although the event is free, we are encouraging the public to book via Ticket Source for catering numbers and to submit a question for the panel.

The Troon Community Council Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday , 3rd of June, 2025.at 7.00.p.m. in the Walker Hall.
All members of the public are welcome to attend.
Connect Hub May Dates 2025
Lyndsay McManus will be in the Connect Hub (53 Sandgate, Ayr) on 2nd and 16th May from 9.30am – 12.30pm to offer advice and information on Supported Decision Making, Power of Attorney and Guardianship as well as more general advice about Adults with Incapacity legislation.

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) have published new surface water flood maps, which for the first time include small watercourses. This new level of detail provides Scotland with the most detailed and accurate picture of where flooding could occur from heavy rainfall.
