The Role of the Troon Community Council
Community Information
RevolutionAYRy is a collaboration between community artists and the mental health & wellbeing charity, Three Sixty, as part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival 2023.
Bringing together a diverse collection of community artists and their art . Empowered to express their views, challenging us to consider how we as individuals and wider society, can be part of the mental health revolution essential to inclusive wellbeing. The exhibition provides a unique insight into the personal, powerful and transformative stories of people with lived experience often through the lens of exclusion, stigma, stereotypes and immense personal strength. There will be an opportunity to watch a live art demonstration, create art of your own, enjoy a family friendly mindful activity and visit a pop up living room. It’s not to be missed!
You are the revolution!

Cayr Local – supporting people living in their communities.
At present we are looking for individuals to start up their own business in supporting people living in their communities. This has been identified as a need in areas of south Ayrshire. If I can be involved in anything happening in the area, please contact me. My aim is to get people set up in their own business then pass the directory to anyone looking for support.
If in anyway you can support Cayr Local, then please get in contact. I am out and about in the communities and advertising events on our Ailn facebook page.

Resurfacing works due to commence on Monday 11th September at Troon Promenade and Newton Shore.
The benches and bins on the promenade at Troon / Newton Shore need to be removed for the works to take place and re-sited once the works are complete. Benches to be moved on Saturday morning, there are 7 benches that require to be removed – we have approx. 70 benches on the promenade / Ballast Bank and therefore the removal of 7 should not cause any issues. Newton Shore has a small wooden bench on the slipway to the sea and that will be removed if necessary. Litterbins to be removed early Monday morning due to the Festival of Flight at the weekend.
It is estimated that the works will be complete within 1-2 weeks.
